Lyrics

**Verse 1** Sometimes I know something— I just have to tell! Can’t keep it close to my vest— Gotta let it out—or I won’t be able to rest. **Chorus** Jesus!! It’s all about Jesus! That’s what I know— He’s truth and light—and the only way anyone should ever go. Every debt I owe— and could never pay— He paid them all— hanging on my cross— that dreadful day— **Verse 2** Lost—and dead in my sin— Destined for hell— A battle no one can win. But that doesn’t fully tell the story— I need to tell— He’s the one and only Savior that died in our place— To miss His sacrifice and end up in Hell— That my friend—would be a tragedy and disgrace. **Chorus** Jesus!! It’s all about Jesus! That’s what I know— He’s truth and light—and the only way anyone should ever go. Every debt I owe— and could never pay— He paid them all— hanging on my cross— that dreadful day— **Bridge** SALVATION!! His gift for you and me— GOD PLANNED IT ALL FROM THE BEGINNING— Right down to that day at Calvary! Trust now in Jesus—trust His way and obey. To Jesus—get a running start— Run now to Jesus—let Him in to your heart! **Tag** WITH JESUS!! With Jesus in your heart— New life will be begin. TESTIFY!! Testify of what Jesus did for you— Praise His name and tell how He changed your story’s end. He changes all and everything— Right now and forever—let the glory and praise of Jesus ring!

It’s All About Jesus

Read together: Jeremiah 20:9; Acts 2:22–24, 36–39; Mark 5:18–20; Matthew 25:31–46

Have you ever had news so good you could not keep it to yourself? An engagement, a birth, a recovery, an answered prayer. You find yourself telling strangers. This song opens with that kind of urgency: Sometimes I know something I just have to tell! Can't keep it close to my vest—gotta let it out, or I won't be able to rest.

The prophet Jeremiah once felt the same way, though for him it was costly. Read Jeremiah 20:9. He was mocked and persecuted for speaking God's word, and he decided to stop. But then he said, "His word is in my heart like a fire, a fire shut up in my bones. I am weary of holding it in; indeed, I cannot." When God's truth takes hold of a person, it does not stay quiet for long.

What is the news this song cannot hold in? Jesus! It's all about Jesus! He is truth and light and the only way. Every debt we owe and could never pay, He paid on the cross.

The second verse is direct about what was at stake. Lost and dead in my sin, destined for hell—a battle no one can win. Some people are uncomfortable when songs mention hell. But Jesus spoke of it plainly and often. Read Matthew 25:31–46. He described the day when the Son of Man will sit on His glorious throne and separate people as a shepherd separates sheep from goats. Some will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life. Jesus did not speak of judgment to frighten people for sport. He spoke of it because He came to rescue people from it.

That is why the song says, to miss His sacrifice and end up in hell—that, my friend, would be a tragedy. The tragedy is not that there is no way out. It is that the way has been opened, and some refuse it.

The bridge shouts the good news: SALVATION! God planned it all from the beginning, right down to that day at Calvary. Read Acts 2:22–24, 36–39. On the day of Pentecost, Peter told the crowd that Jesus was handed over "by God's set purpose and foreknowledge," and that God raised Him from the dead because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on Him. The cross was not an accident or a failed mission. It was God's plan of rescue. When the people were cut to the heart and asked what to do, Peter answered: "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins… This promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off."

The tag calls every believer to testify. Read Mark 5:18–20. After Jesus set a tormented man free, the man begged to go with Him. Jesus said, "Go home to your own people and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how He has had mercy on you." And he did. You do not need a seminary degree to testify. You only need to tell what Jesus has done.

If you have never trusted Jesus, the promise Peter preached is for you too. Turn from your sin and run to Him—get a running start, as the song says.

A moment to respond: Read Mark 5:18–20. Then write down, in three or four sentences, how Jesus has changed your story. Share it with one person this week—a friend, a family member, or someone you meet. If you have not yet received His salvation, read Acts 2:36–39 and respond today.

Let's pray: Lord Jesus, it really is all about You. You paid every debt we owed and could never pay. Thank You for God's plan of salvation, fulfilled at Calvary and proven by Your resurrection. Light a fire in our bones so we cannot keep quiet. Give us courage to testify of what You have done. And for anyone still lost, draw them to run to You today. Amen.

Our desire at UnrelentingJesus is that the good news of Jesus would burn in your heart until you cannot keep it in—because it really is all about Him.
