Why Are There So Many Weeds?

Jesus said the field is the world. So why does evil keep growing, why does God sometimes seem to wait, and what are Christ's people supposed to do until the harvest comes?

The message

God has not lost His field.

The enemy plants. Weeds spread. God exposes what is hidden. Yet God's patience is not approval, His purposes are not defeated, and Jesus still sends His people into the world with the Gospel until the harvest comes.

Jesus names the enemy plainly, and He shows how sin grows. What is kept cut short can hide its true nature, but left alone it spreads. God's patience is not His approval; it is mercy that still gives people time to repent.

The field is the world, and Jesus did not tell His church to wait until there were fewer weeds. He said, “Go.” Until the harvest comes, there are still people who need to hear about the Cross and the empty tomb.
