Lyrics

**Verse 1** Lord, I worship You with lifted hands, You raised me up from low, dark lands. You alone deserve my praise, My heart will sing of you through all my days. **Chorus** Jesus, now You reign on Heaven’s throne, High and lifted up, You rule alone. Without Your mercy, I’d be undone— I live to worship You, the Risen One. **Verse 2** Lord, my healer, my help, and my friend, You heard my cry, and Your love for me will never end. You hid my soul from Satan and death’s cold grave, From Your cross alone, my life You did save. **Chorus** Jesus, now You reign on Heaven’s throne, High and lifted up, You rule alone. Without Your mercy, I’d be undone— I live to worship You, the Risen One. **Verse 3** Each day I live, Your truth in my heart will abide, In the cleft of your Rock, by grace my soul you will hide. Through it all, I’ll trust Your holy name, and at life’s end, I’ll hear your call, and I’ll fly to Heaven, forever by your nail-pierced side. **Chorus** Jesus, now You reign on Heaven’s throne, High and lifted up, You rule alone. Without Your mercy, I’d be undone— I live to worship the Risen One. **Verse 4** Oh give thanks with me to our Lord, the one who knows us all by name. Oh give thanks with me to our Lord, the one who turns our tears to joy again, and takes away all our shame. Mourning, He will turn to dancing, dark nights to hopeful light, Oh give thanks with me, He’s opened our blind eyes by faith into perfect sight. Oh give thanks with me, fill your mouth with praise, don’t be still, Bless His holy name, praise His glorious will! **Final Chorus** Jesus, now You reign on Heaven’s throne, High and lifted up, we are Yours and Yours alone. You’ve turned our shame and mourning into a praise and a brand new song, Oh Lord come now, we long to join You among Heave’s choir and joyous throng! Oh Lord, Come now. We long to join you. We long to sing to You, our brand new song.

Worship Our King

Read together: Ephesians 1:18–23; Exodus 15:26; Psalm 71:6–8, 23; Revelation 14:1–3

This song is a personal hymn of praise. It moves from what Jesus has done—You raised me up from low, dark lands—to who Jesus is—High and lifted up, You rule alone—to what His people long for: Lord, come now, we long to join You among heaven's choir.

The chorus says, Jesus, now You reign on heaven's throne. Read Ephesians 1:18–23. Paul prays that believers would know "the immeasurable greatness of His power toward us who believe," the same power God worked "when He raised Christ from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is named." Jesus is not merely a historical teacher. He is the reigning King right now.

The second verse names Him my healer, my help, and my friend. Read Exodus 15:26. Shortly after the Israelites crossed the Red Sea, God revealed Himself with a name: "I am the Lord who heals you." The Lord's healing reaches every part of us—body, mind, and especially soul. We can pray boldly for physical healing, trusting His wisdom when He answers differently than we hope. And His deepest healing is the one the song names next: You hid my soul from Satan and death's cold grave. From Your cross alone, my life You did save.

The third verse looks to the end of life: At life's end, I'll hear Your call, and I'll fly to heaven, forever by Your nail-pierced side. For the believer, death is not an ending but a call home.

The fourth verse becomes a call to others: Oh, give thanks with me to our Lord… fill your mouth with praise, don't be still. Read Psalm 71:6–8, 23. The psalmist says he has leaned on God from birth, and then, "My mouth is filled with Your praise, declaring Your splendor all day long… My lips will shout for joy when I sing praise to You—my soul also, which You have redeemed." Notice the reason for that joy: redeemed. Praise flows most freely from people who know they have been rescued.

That verse also says God turns our tears to joy again… mourning He will turn to dancing. Worship is not reserved for people whose lives are going well. It is often born in people who have known deep sorrow and found God faithful in it.

The final chorus says, You've turned our shame and mourning into a praise and a brand new song. Read Revelation 14:1–3. John hears a sound from heaven like many waters and loud thunder, and the redeemed singing "a new song before the throne." No one could learn that song except those who had been redeemed from the earth. There is a song that only the rescued can sing. And the song ends with a longing to join that choir: Oh Lord, come now—we long to sing to You our brand new song.

If you have been raised up from low, dark places by Jesus, you have a reason to worship. And if you are still in a dark place, He can raise you up too.

A moment to respond: Read Psalm 71:23 aloud. Then write down one "low, dark land" Jesus has brought you out of. Turn it into a short prayer of thanks. This week, invite someone to "give thanks with you"—share what God has done and praise Him together.

Let's pray: Jesus, You reign on heaven's throne, high and lifted up, far above every power. You raised us from low, dark places. You are our healer, our help, and our friend. Thank You for saving our lives from Your cross. Fill our mouths with praise. Turn our mourning into dancing. One day we will join heaven's choir and sing our brand new song to You. Amen.

Our desire at UnrelentingJesus is that you would live to worship the risen King—because He has raised you up and given you a new song to sing.
