Lyrics

[Verse 1] Lord in Heaven—please come by Lord in Heaven—will you hear my pleading cry— Will you look down on me on this earthly ground— Lord in Heaven—in You alone—my hope is found. [Verse 2] Lord—from Your throne above— Will your pour out your mercy and love? Will you let Your precious, cleansing flood— Wash over me—oh Your saving, sacrificial blood. [Chorus] Right now Lord—right where I stand— Pour out Your forgiveness—cover sins demand May I be made new and washed white as snow— Oh Your tender voice—is the sweetest I know. Move right in—my redeemer and friend Fill me with Your Holy Spirit—again and again [Bridge] There is no greater love given unto man Than when Salvation came through Jesus—God’s perfect plan. In Him and Him alone—my blinded eyes are made to see From the very moment—His grace set me free [Chorus] Right now Lord—right where I stand— Pour out Your forgiveness—cover sins demand May I be made new and washed white as snow— Oh Your tender voice—is the sweetest I know. Move right in—my redeemer and friend Fill me with Your Holy Spirit—again and again [Tag] Now I know—for all eternity— My home in Heaven will forever be I’ll look one day across to that golden shore Where death and sickness will be no more And forever I will join the masses in Heavenly song Worshipping my Savior and King—among Heaven’s throng All glory, honor and power to His holy name Oh the name of Jesus—I will forever proclaim!

Washed White As Snow

Read together: Isaiah 1:16–20; Psalm 51:7–10; Ephesians 5:18–20; John 3:16–17

There is something striking about a fresh snowfall. Overnight, the muddy yard, the bare branches, and the gray streets are covered in pure white. Everything looks new. Scripture uses that image to describe what God does with our sin.

This song begins as a prayer from the ground up. Lord in heaven, please come by… Will You look down on me on this earthly ground? It is a humble cry—someone who knows they cannot clean themselves and is asking God to do it. Will You let Your precious, cleansing flood wash over me—oh, Your saving, sacrificial blood.

Read Isaiah 1:16–20. God confronted His people about their sin—their worship had become empty while injustice filled their hands. Yet in the middle of that rebuke comes one of the most gracious invitations in the Bible: "Come now, let us reason together, says the Lord. Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be like wool." Scarlet and crimson were permanent dyes. You could not wash them out. But God can.

Read Psalm 51:7–10. After his great sin, David prayed, "Purge me with hyssop, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow." Then: "Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me." David knew that his only hope was God's cleansing.

For us, that cleansing comes through Jesus. The chorus prays, Right now, Lord, right where I stand—pour out Your forgiveness, cover sin's demand. May I be made new and washed white as snow. Notice right where I stand. You do not have to get to a better place before God will wash you. He meets you where you are.

The chorus continues: Move right in, my Redeemer and friend. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit again and again. Forgiveness is not the end of the story. God does not just wash us; He moves in. Read Ephesians 5:18–20. Paul tells believers to "be filled with the Spirit," and the grammar suggests something ongoing—keep on being filled. The song captures that perfectly: again and again. We need daily filling, not just a one-time experience.

The bridge points to the source of all this: There is no greater love given unto man than when salvation came through Jesus—God's perfect plan. Read John 3:16–17. God so loved the world that He gave His only Son. The washing is free to us because it was costly to Him.

The tag looks forward to the day when the cleansing is complete—a home in heaven where death and sickness will be no more, joining the masses in heavenly song. The snow-white cleansing we receive now is a foretaste of a world made entirely new.

If you feel stained by something you have done—or by years of sin—hear God's invitation: "Come now." No stain is too deep. And if you have been washed but feel dry, ask Him to fill you with His Spirit again.

A moment to respond: Read Isaiah 1:18. Write down the sin that feels most like a permanent stain. Then write over it in large letters: "White as snow." Confess it to God and thank Him for the blood of Jesus. Finally, pray Ephesians 5:18 and ask to be filled with His Spirit today.

Let's pray: Lord in heaven, we come to You right where we stand. Our sins are like scarlet, but You promise to make them white as snow. Wash us by the precious blood of Jesus. Create in us clean hearts. Move right in, our Redeemer and Friend, and fill us with Your Holy Spirit again and again. Thank You for Your perfect plan of salvation. Amen.

Our desire at UnrelentingJesus is that you would know the joy of being washed white as snow—and filled again and again with the Spirit of Jesus.
