Lyrics

[Verse 1] Grace, Grace, God’s perfect grace Given freely—our every sin to erase Grace, Grace, God’s infinite grace Hung on a cross—taking my place. [Verse 2] Mercy, Mercy, God’s matchless mercy Flowing down—in His precious blood Mercy, Mercy—flowing from God’s own Son Ohhhh—great mercy in a crimson flood [Verse 3] Love, Love, God’s redeeming love Unmerited favor—sent from above Love, Love—unwavering forgiveness for all All who will answer the Savior’s call. [Chorus] His grace love and mercy—pours out on me Grace, love and mercy—flowing out from Calvary’s tree Jesus paid it all—every price owed by you and me. Grace, love and mercy secured our eternity. [Bridge] In Jesus—I hope always to be found— Standing in that precious flow— Covering me—head to toe and all around Where my sins are forgiven and I am washed clean And so much more to me—His salvation does mean. [Verse 4] Hope beyond hope—Jesus is our strength and forever certainty No other deserves our faith and loyalty For Jesus alone at Calvary Bled and died for you and me. [Reprise] Grace, Grace, God’s perfect grace Given freely—our every sin to erase Grace, Grace, God’s infinite grace Hung on a cross—taking my place. Mercy, Mercy, God’s matchless mercy Flowing down—in His precious blood Mercy, Mercy—flowing from God’s own Son Ohhhh—great mercy in a crimson flood Love, Love, God’s redeeming love Unmerited favor—sent from above Love, Love—unwavering forgiveness for all All who will answer the Savior’s call.

Grace

Read Luke 18:9–14; Ephesians 2:1–10; Titus 3:3–7.

Have you ever looked back at something you said or did and wished you could take it back? Some regrets fade with time. Others follow us into quiet rooms, sleepless nights, and prayers we struggle to begin. We wonder whether God could really welcome someone who knows better and still falls short.

Jesus told a story about two men who went to the temple to pray. One stood confidently and recited his religious accomplishments. The other could hardly lift his eyes. He pleaded, “God be merciful to me a sinner” (Luke 18:13). Jesus said it was the second man who went home justified.

Does that surprise you? The man who could list his virtues was not the example Jesus held up. The man who admitted his need was. Grace begins to become precious when we stop pretending we can rescue ourselves.

Perhaps you have been measuring your worth by what you've done right lately. On a good day you feel close to God; on a bad day you wonder whether He has turned away. But Ephesians 2:8–9 says salvation is by grace through faith, not a result of works. That doesn't excuse sin or make obedience unimportant. It puts them in the right order: we do not earn God's saving love; those who receive His grace are called to walk in the good works He has prepared (Ephesians 2:10).

Here's something worth reading slowly: Titus 3:3–7. Notice how honestly Paul describes the brokenness of human life—and how clearly he says God saved us according to His mercy. If you feel ashamed, don't hide from the One who already knows the truth. Bring it into His light.

Would you be willing to pray as the tax collector prayed? No excuses, no bargaining, no polished speech. Ask God for mercy through Jesus Christ. If you need to confess a wrong to someone or make restitution where possible, take that step too—not to purchase forgiveness, but as a response to the grace you've received.

Our desire at UnrelentingJesus is that no one confuses the Gospel with a demand to become perfect before coming to Jesus. We will be praying that you find both forgiveness and a changed life in Him.

Let's pray. Father, I have nothing to offer that could purchase Your mercy. Thank You for sending Jesus to save sinners. Forgive what I have tried to excuse, heal what shame has kept hidden, and teach me to walk in gratitude and obedience. In Jesus' name, amen.
