Lyrics

[Verse 1] I have seen what this world has to give I have seen how people choose to live I’ve seen riches and the fame I’ve seen the power in a name And after seeing what the world can do Oh my Jesus—my hope is found only in You. [Chorus] I choose Jesus—and I bless His holy name I choose Jesus—forever His grace and mercy to proclaim I put all that I am—all I’ve done and where I’ve been— I put my faith and trust in Jesus—the only one—Who forgives my sin. [Verse 2] There are riches and veins of gold. There is land and wealth untold. There is power with no earthly compare There are fancy cars and private jets in the air And there are those that the world does adore Those who have control from shore to shore But this I still know—one day it will all fall For Jesus is still Lord—Master and ruler over all! [Chorus] I choose Jesus—and I bless His holy name I choose Jesus—forever His grace and mercy to proclaim I put all that I am—all I’ve done and where I’ve been— I put my faith and trust in Jesus—the only one—Who forgives my sin. [Bridge] One day Jesus will come again Putting an end to death and pain One day every knee shall bow Every tongue confess somehow Jesus is Lord—Jesus is King Ruler of all and every thing. [Final Chorus] I choose Jesus—and I bless His holy name I choose Jesus—forever His grace and mercy to proclaim I put all that I am—all I’ve done and where I’ve been— I put my faith and trust in Jesus—the only one—Who forgives my sin. Jesus, Jesus, Jesus— At only hearing Your name Jesus, Jesus, Jesus— All my guilt falls away—and all my shame Jesus, Jesus, Jesus Right now in worship my hands I raise Jesus, Jesus—ohhh my Jesus— Forever You are worthy—of all honor, glory and praise.

I Choose Jesus

Read Joshua 24:14–15; John 6:66–69; Romans 10:9–13.

Have you ever reached a place where you knew you could no longer keep putting off a decision? Perhaps you have tried to satisfy everyone, avoid difficult conversations, or leave the question of faith for another day. But sooner or later, every one of us must decide what we will do with Jesus.

Picture the crowd around Him in John 6. Many had followed Him when the miracles were exciting and the bread was plentiful. But when His teaching challenged them, some turned away. Jesus looked at the twelve and asked whether they also wanted to leave. Peter answered, in effect, Where else could we go? You have the words of eternal life (John 6:68).

Can you imagine that moment? The crowd was thinning. The easier choice might have been to walk away quietly. Peter did not claim to understand everything Jesus had said. He recognized something more important: no one else could give what Jesus gives.

Maybe this sounds familiar. You believe something about Jesus, but following Him would change how you live. Perhaps there is a habit you need to surrender, a wrong you need to confess, or a relationship in which obedience to Christ will cost you something. The question is not whether following Jesus will always feel easy. He never promised that. The question is whether He is worthy of your trust.

Here's some help. Read Joshua 24:14–15 and notice Joshua's appeal to choose whom the people would serve. Then read Romans 10:9–13. Salvation is not a reward for making enough good decisions. It is God's gift to those who turn to Jesus Christ in faith, confessing Him as Lord and believing God raised Him from the dead.

Would you be willing to stop postponing the most important decision of your life? Tell Jesus the truth about your sin and your need for His mercy. Ask Him to save you, and take the next faithful step He is showing you. If you already belong to Him, ask whether your daily choices reflect the One you say you follow.

Our desire at UnrelentingJesus is that you know Christ personally—not merely know about Him—and discover the life that is found in Him alone. We will be praying for you as you seek Him.

Let's pray. Lord Jesus, You know how easily we delay, compromise, or follow the crowd. Open our eyes to who You are. Give courage to anyone who is ready to trust You for salvation, and renew the obedience of those who already know You. Let our choices honor You today. Amen.
