Lyrics

[Verse 1] In those moments—when the only sound— Is at a bedside—with all gathered around— And where time and the day or night will end— There is no earthly one—for that—anyone can depend. And as people come and go— Praying for what and who—that we know— It is in moments like these— Jesus hears every prayer and sees every tear— As we cry out—and bow before Jesus—on our knees. [Chorus] Jesus—Jesus—hear our prayer— Trusting You Jesus—for we know—You surely do care. Right now—above all and everything— We know You are ruler over all—You’re the mighty King. We turn to you now—for what we need—only You know how— Every day or night will end— On You—we can always depend— You have never failed from our first breath— And You alone overcame the grave and death— So right now Jesus—as we now bow before You— Hear our prayers—see us through. [Verse 2] Only Jesus knows—the heart and mind of every soul— Only Jesus can save—and make anyone whole. It isn’t anyone’s to decide— In anyone’s heart if Jesus does abide— For each and every heart has its own door— And at each and everyone—Jesus stands and knocks—to be let in— Only He can forgive every sin— But as for me—and many more—including the thief on the cross— We’re gonna be with Jesus—forever more!! [Tag] Ohhhh—Jesus—You have never failed from our first breath— And You alone overcame the grave and death— So right now Jesus—as we now bow before You— Hear our prayers—see us through.

Bedside Prayers

Read together: Mark 2:1–12; Psalm 46:1–3; Hebrews 4:14–16

Have you ever sat beside a bed and watched someone you love struggle, while the clock kept moving and every minute seemed to last forever?

Maybe you are waiting for test results. Maybe you are the patient, tired of answering questions and afraid of the answer to the next one. Or perhaps you have reached the moment when words are few, and the only prayer you can manage is, “Jesus, please.”

Does this sound familiar? Then I want you to know that Scripture makes room for people who feel powerless.

Read Mark 2:1–12. Four friends carried a paralyzed man to Jesus. When the crowd blocked their way, they opened the roof and lowered him before the Lord. Imagine the vulnerability of that man, depending on others to carry him into the room. Jesus saw their faith. He first spoke to the man's deepest need—his sin—and then demonstrated His authority by healing him.

This passage does not promise that every person we bring before God will walk out of a hospital healed. It does show us whom we are coming to: Jesus, who has authority to forgive sins and who is not indifferent to human suffering.

Would you be willing to do two things? First, tell Jesus plainly what you are afraid of and what you are asking Him to do. Second, let someone help carry the burden. Ask a trusted friend, pastor, or family member to pray with you. If you are supporting someone who is sick, your presence, practical help, and quiet prayers matter more than finding perfect words.

A moment to respond: Read Psalm 46:1–3. Write down one need you cannot solve on your own. Bring it to the Lord, and consider one person you could ask to walk beside you today.

Let's pray: Heavenly Father, You know every hospital room, every home where someone is suffering, and every loved one waiting for news. We ask for healing according to Your wisdom, skill and compassion for those providing care, and peace for frightened hearts. Above all, lead each person to the forgiveness and hope found in Jesus Christ. Amen.

Our desire at UnrelentingJesus is that you find more than comforting words here. We want you to know where to turn when you do not know what to do next. Jesus hears the prayers you can barely speak.
